Are you looking to be part of a NEW OPERATION?

Our Client is a dynamic company who is currently developing large scale mining operations and associated infrastructure in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

They are looking for a suitably qualified Metallurgist, who has the talent, innovation and desire required to help develop the processing operation.

Within this role, you will be expected to achieve or excel Key Performance Indicators in the following areas:

• Technological innovation
• Technical leadership
• Timeliness and quality of final reporting
• Other metallurgical duties
• Safety and health

The position calls for teamwork with metallurgical technicians of diverse backgrounds and levels of experience as well as with other metallurgists and managers. The superintendent position excludes formal managerial duties but requires astute technical leadership.

Experience required:

• Specific experience in iron ore mining and beneficiation. 
• Knowledge of the iron ore market and iron-making technologies would be of great advantage.

Education required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy/Minerals engineering

Your ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and interpret laboratory and pilot plant test work for flow sheet development will be vital in the role; however more importantly, they are seeking people who value their work and possess the energy and passion to help grow a great company.
