MINING ENGINEERING: 6698 - Senior Mining Engineer - Closed
Our client is an emerging mining company focusing on niche commodity production. Currently they are at an advanced stage of developing its in Western Australia. The Project encompasses a mine and minerals plant which will produce up to 150,000 tpa of concentrate for downstream processing in China.
The primary function of the role is to oversee the planning (short and long term), production and safe operation of the open pits and the surface haulage to ensure the open pit team meets mine production targets and delivery to the concentrator.
Responsibility
- Promotion of site safety, environmental and continuous improvement activities
- Co-ordination of short-medium term mining activities to meet production & grade targets
- Production of mining schedules and cost drivers for forecast and budget purposes
- Provide cost analysis support to open pits manager as required.
- Contract management and co-ordination of surface cartage operations.
- Supervision of and participation in miscellaneous project work.
+6 years experience in mining engineering with 2 year open pit
