Our Client is one of the largest base metals mines of its type in the world, with customers in China, Japan, South Korea, the USA, India and Mexico. 

They are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Mining Production Engineer who is an enthusiastic self-starter, with the capacity to take ownership and assume responsibility for achieving targeted goals, to join to join their team.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to;

• Developing & designing overburden removal, ore mining, dozer stripping, drill and blast, backfill, and rehabilitation planning
• Assisting with compiling and presenting weekly and monthly reconciliation reports
• Reviewing and reconciling all overburden & ore moving activities & quantities against designs
• Developing rehabilitation plans in conjunction with the Rehabilitation team and the Environment department
• Ongoing project work, including maintaining cut histories, improving performance & implementing new technologies

To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will possess;

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, or a related discipline. Current graduates will be considered
• Be focused on the practical implementation of plans
• Knowledge of Vulcan and blasting practices will be highly regarded
• A strong leader, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Although this is a residential role, applicants preferring Fly in / Fly out with a home base as Cairns / Darwin will also be considered.
