Our client is one of the largest ASX-listed Australian precious metals producers.  The mine-site is located in the Golfields and currently produces about 140,000 oz pa and has plans to expand its production through new open cut and underground developments.

The following opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join their operations.

Responsibilities of this role include:

• Work closely with all mine personnel to aid in the effective running of an underground operation
• Conduct surveys of all underground openings and ongoing maintenance of the underground model
• Provide all relevant survey data to mine personnel in a safe, efficient and effective manner
• Ensure maintenance & checks on surveys are conducted to the highest standard
• Produce plans development from memo’s to statutory mine plans
•  Work safely and contribute to safety systems of underground operations

Reporting to the Underground Mine Manager, the Senior Underground Surveyor is responsible and accountable for undertaking all required survey activities, with a focus directed towards the collection and accurate interpretation of spatial data.

The ideal applicant will have:

• Tertiary / formal qualifications in Surveying
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to keep accurate records
• Ability to work autonomously
• Strong understanding of Surpac desirable
