MINING ENGINEERING: 5328 - Senior Mine Planning Engineer
Our Client is a West Australian based supplier of iron ore to the Chinese and Japanese markets. Their position in the world market as a niche player has been won through strong marketing skills and a strong management culture
They are seeking an experienced Senior Mine Planning Engineer to join the mining team. This role will be 2IC to the Mine Manager and have the opportunity to make a difference.
Successful candidate will possess experience in the following;
- Open pit mining operations
- Mine planning, scheduling and design
- Understanding of mine safety standards
- Life of mine scheduling and costing
You will also have;
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or any other mining related field
- Strong exposure to day-to-day activities of a large open-cut mining operation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to recognize value add opportunities
- Leadership skills
