Our Client operates Australia’s longest continuously running gold mining operation, which has produced over 5.5 million ounces of gold over a period of more than 65 years in Western Australia. The company is now approaching the next stage of increased production to ensure the future resource base and mine life of the Company.

They are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Underground Safety & Training Coordinator to join their team.

Responsibilities of this role include;

• Implementation, compliance and continuous improvement of the company’s safety management systems
• Development and implementation of training systems (underground operations)
• Incident reporting and investigation in accordance with the company’s requirements
• Coordination of site fitness for work (Drug and Alcohol) policy
• Development and implementation of the underground safe working procedures
• Coordination of injury management requirements
• Development and implementation of site job observations
• Participate in site risk management programs
• Implement site inspections and audits

To be considered for this role the successful candidate will possess;

• Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
• OH&S Qualifications
• 2 years experience in a similar role with a minimum of 5 years underground experience
• Underground Supervisors Certificate preferred but not essential
• Computer literate
• Excellent communication skills
• An emphasis on teamwork
• Good organisational skills
