						<title>ENGINEERING: 6263 - Continuous Improvement Coordinator</title>
						<description>Our Client is a global mining house with assets throughout the globe in operations, exploration and development projects. They are currently seeking an experienced professional to join their operation in Tanzania in the role of Continuous Improvement Supervisor.  JOB FUCNTIONS Articulate the vision, strategy and principles associated with the Company's Continuous Improvement processes. Ensure consistency and effectiveness of application Educate senior management and employee business improvement teams in the use of problem solving tools and techniques.  These are used to evaluate and initiate continuous improvement opportunities.  Support the effective deployment of these tools and techniques Engage the workforce to realize business improvement opportunities and goals Identify external and internal information resources.  Make these information sources available to employees via informal and formal networks to enhance the skills of management and employees Ensure the development of a working environment that is conducive to employees achieving their full potential by gaining new skills through provision of effective mentoring and training programs Continually review principle aspects of the site's activities to ensure that opportunities to add value and enhance shareholder wealth are identified and implemented Facilitate development of clear business improvement project definitions that clarify the focus and results necessary for success Confront commitment and capability issues within the teams and challenge the teams to strive for higher levels of performance Provide quality control on analysis, process and recommendations.  Recognize and actively celebrate continuous improvement achievements and results to ensure the ongoing success of process and business improvement Ensure that clear, measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are in place.  Ensure progress is systematically reviewed / monitored against the Company's plans and goals Maintain orderly files and reference documents related to CI activities.  Contribute     information as required to CI knowledge sharing initiatives and processes. DESIRED CRITERIA Degree qualification in a Science, Engineering or Commerce discipline Minimum of 5 years progressive post graduate experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role Active participation in Continuous Improvement team activities and a proven track record of achievement of results is essential Demonstrated skills with capital justification, budget development, expenditure and controls Experience in systematic coaching and training of employees Good written and verbal communication skills (English and Swahili) with ability to effectively communicate with the workforce Strong Influencing &amp; Coaching skills. They are&amp;nbsp;currently seeking an experienced&amp;nbsp;Fixed Plant&amp;nbsp;Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with 5yrs+ experience in a maintenance role of a modern ore processing facility.. Duties and Responsibilities: That safe work practices are exercised in the work place. That the plant availability is maintained above 90% on a month to month basis. To ensure that operating costs are minimized and budgets adhered to. Education and Experience: Qualified Mechanical Engineer training in a process plant environment. Skills in other disciplines will be an asset. Minimum of five years post qualification experience in the maintenance management of a modern ore processing plant. Project experience will be an asset. A management qualification will be an asset. Exposure to Copper SX/EW would be a distinct advantage This role is offered on a FIFO basis of 10 weeks on, 3 weeks off or 6:2 if based in South Africa.
