Liaison with Mining and Processing staff to ensure they are aware of Company operating licence conditions and obligations. Lead by example with respect to safety performance ensuring hazards are identified, reported and staff in the Environmental Department are aware of and abide by site safety standards. Provide a strategic and proactive focus on environmental programs and site practices. Training & mentoring of junior staff. Provide coverage for the HSE Manager as required. Identifying key environmental issues that pose a risk to obtaining project approvals and developing options to resolve these risks. Selection Criteria: Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline. 5+ years of relevant industry experience. Previous involvement in the approvals process for a major resources project.
