						<title>GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING 5901 - Geotechnical Engineer</title>
						<description>  Our client is global diversified mining group with its business maintaining a meaningful position in seven major international commodity markets. The group currently has operations and projects spanning 18 countries.  They are currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer their operation.  About the Role:  Provide site geotechnical services as required by mining and civil operations including, but not restricted to; the routine collection and analysis of geotechnical data to continuously update Geotechnical databases and block model.   The provision of sound geotechnical advice concerning long and short term slope stability.   Identifying problem areas in advance of mining   Geotechnical Database Management - Updating, management&amp;nbsp; and development &amp;nbsp;of mine site geotechnical Vulcan, Access and Excel databases and spreadsheets as required.   Special Projects - From time to time undertake special projects or tasks as assigned by the Senior Geologist, which may include filling in Mine Geologists roles as and when required   Requirements:  Bachelor of Science majoring in Mining Engineering/Geotechnical Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution   Experience in underground and/or open cut mining   VULCAN software, MS Access and Excel. Excellent communication skills Ability to complete tasks within given time constraints.   Demonstrated knowledge of slope stability and support selection in open pit metalliferous mines.
