The operations consist of a collection of open cut and underground mines in the region. They are seeking the services of a&amp;nbsp;Safety Superintendent to join their team. About the Position: Lead the organization in the achievement of excellent safety performance through effective planning, resources allocation, reporting, engaging with interested parties and leading by example Champion the company's safety, health and security policies and standards as part of doing business Measure and report on performance against the regional plan Implement safety plans and programs to achieve objectives and targets, including minimizing the risk of health issues and injury to employees Facilitate and provide relevant safety training to employees and contractors to ensure competence for assigned tasks Contribute to the development of procedures and annual objectives and targets Support supervisors and managers in the implementation of plans and programs Conduct regular inspections and investigations of the workplace and audit work practices to ensure compliance with the company policies and procedures Provide positive recognition to employees who exhibit good safety behavior Ensure incidents are reported, investigated and closed-out Requirements: Relevant Tertiary Degree or on-the-job experience 5 years OH&amp;amp;S experience in a heavy industry environment Other desirable qualifications include; Certificate IV in training and assessment, Font Line Management (Diploma), Emergency Response Management (Diploma or instructor competencies) Strong knowledge and understanding of health, safety and security regulatory requirements and standards. This role will be a senior position on a management roster of 9/5, 5/2, 4/3 FIFO ex Perth.
