Our Client is a leading international resources producer - they currently require a Commissioning Process Engineer for a large scale base metals project.
The Commissioning Process Engineer role will report to the Commissioning Manager and will provide technical integrity for the construction and commissioning of the project, and ensure all work is safe and carried out in a safe manner.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead the Commissioning Group in the various areas in terms of driving the relevant sections of the Commissioning Plan, project delivery, safety, mechanical, HV/LV power reticulation, instrumentation and plant start-up.
Develop and maintain a high degree of quality in the commissioning works for all disciplines through the use of understandable quality procedures.
Ensuring statutory compliance for all installations, equipment and works across the project.
Ability to control the commissioning work to budget and schedule.
Ensure that the paperwork trail is on-track and up-to-date.
Ensure that the Contractors and Sub-contractors have prepared and completed all the necessary Commissioning documentation during each phase of Construction and Commissioning.
Experience in coordinating a multi-discipline team to deliver required work within allotted timeframes.
Ability to effectively cost time and manage resources.
Preferred candidates will possess:
Degree qualifications in Process or Metallurgical Engineering combined with a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the mining sector.
Experience in the various phases of project implementation more specifically in commissioning / start-up and Construction.
Experience with project work as Senior / Lead Process Engineer on large scale mining projects is essential, preferably Mineral Processing Plants.
Demonstrated skills with the use of specific proprietary software packages relevant to Engineering disciplines.
Self-motivated and capable of working with minimum direct supervision and adapting to changing circumstances.
Experience working in cold climates is preferred.
