Carolyn Forrest
Founding Director

Carol is a Director and founder of Mining Employment Services, which commenced business in 1995. She is the Sales and Services Manager and an experienced Recruitment Consultant, with an extensive background in mining.

Prior to establishing MES Carol's mining experience commenced with Westralian Sands, Capel and Associated Minerals Consolidated Eneabba, in Payroll, Statistics, and Administration. She worked in Meekatharra for Whim Creek Consolidated, gaining experience in mapping and logging assay results, then Eastmet Limited's Youanmi Gold Mine as Site Administrator. Her responsibilities included office and warehouse management HR, payroll, accounts, purchasing, stock control, village management, and company reporting.

In 1990 she became a partner in New Mexico Mining (Sandstone), responsible for office administration, HR, payroll, purchasing and tenement control. As a partner she provided assistance as required in exploration, including RC and RAB drill sampling, surveying, logging and sample dispatch, gold room and process plant duties.

Max Forrest

Max is a Director of MES and the Financial/Business Manager. He joined MES in 1996.

Max has over 28 years of experience in mining. He has been employed by various public companies including Westralian Sands, RGC and Allied Eneabba, all now part of Iluka Resources, Whim Creek Consolidated NL, Eastmet, Metana Minerals and Precious Metals. Max commenced as a graduate mine surveyor in 1968 and progressed to mine surveyor then mining supervisor, mine superintendent, quarry manager, mine manager, general manager, including private mine owner and developer. He has had direct involvement in Gold, Coal, and Mineral Sands.

For the past 16 years Max has been a self employed consultant and business owner of New Mexico Mining, a developer of two separate open cut gold mines, including the design and construction of a CIP gold processing plant.
