Our client, a significant nickel producer and exporter, seeks a Geology Superintendent to join the team.
This position to join a world-renowned mining company will not be available for long!
Requirements:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Geology;
- Ability to identify and manage priorities and opportunities;
- Membership of AusIMM, AIG or similar professional organisation;
- Good practical understanding of open pit mining methods, sampling methods and QA/QC;
- Advanced level of knowledge in Mineral Resources estimation, geostatistics and experience in JORC reporting
- Solid supervisory, technical leadership and communication skills.
Position Duties:
- Undertake month end reporting;
- Monitor continuous improvement of ore control, production and reconciliation functions;
- Mentoring Junior Geologists and Technicians;
- Geology modelling & grade estimation;
- Develop, implement and monitor processes for measuring and quantifying mineralisation properties;
- Management of mine tenements.
Experience
A minimum of 10-15 years’ relevant experience in the mining industry
