Our Client is a privately-owned resource investment company focused on the gold sector. They are currently looking for an experienced Drill & Blast Engineer to come on board their open-pit project.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Mining Engineering;
- Knowledge in open pit mining preferably in Gold
- Drill and blast design practical knowledge
- Shot Firer’s ticket is essential
- Drill and blast operational time
- Computer proficiency (Excel, MS Office, Surpac, Shotplus)
Position Duties:
- Deliver operational drill/blast designs related to meeting short and medium term scheduling requirements
- Analysis of block models for drill pattern optimisation
- Refinement of drill patterns based on regular review of blast performance
- Refinement of tie-in designs to achieve minimal ore dilution and optimal blast fragmentation
Experience
Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar open pit role.
