Our client, an Australian gold mine with high-grade gold projects in Western Australia, is looking for a Graduate Geologist to join the team at one of their successful goldmines in Western Australia.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Geology;
- Have a strong passion to work in underground gold mining industry;
- Be committed to a long-term role to learn all aspects involved in a Mine Geologist's position;
- Excellent communication skills & attitude towards safe work practices;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office computer programs & data entry skills;
- Australian C-Class Drivers Licence (Manual);
- National Police Clearance.
Position Duties:
- Exposure to underground mining geology duties;
- Assist with looking after the grade control drill rig;
- Assist in core shed working with Underground Geology team;
- Maintain and validate material production data.
Experience
Previous mining industry experience is preferred, however newly graduated candidates who are highly motivated & disciplined will also be of consideration.
