Role Requirements:
- Solid history in underground mining;
- Passion for sharing your knowledge and experience when training;
- Competent operating the Sandvik Twin-Boom power class jumbo drill rigs;
- National Police Clearance;
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screen.
Position Duties:
- Drilling and bolting of incline, decline and mass excavation;
- Set up and operate drills and drilling machines to produce a designated pattern of blasting holes;
- Read and accurately follow mine instruction plan with skill and precision ensuring holes are drilled to design line, gradient and profile;
- Follow job procedures and regulations, operating excavating equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Experience
3+ years operating the jumbo drill rigs, previous overseas underground experience is highly regarded.
