Our Client has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to deliver a Pre-Feasibility Study.  You will be accountable for demonstrating sufficient details to enable all necessary approvals to be granted, the initial reserve for the project, a pathway to production, and a clear development plan for the mine site outlining the necessary changes to the ROM, process plant and services, and fill requirements.
This role reports to the General Manager Operations
Requirements:

Tertiary qualified Mining Engineer or a Mechanical / Civil Engineer with experience in mining projects.
Ability to lead mining studies that incorporate all aspects of the development of a mine and the mining supply chain
Project management experience to deliver the PFS within budget and in the timeframe
Experience and background in underground mine planning
Extensive practical knowledge of underground mining practices and processes and the ability to define and apply best practice solutions
Good level of understanding of mine ventilation systems, both primary and secondary, and statutory requirements pertaining to mine ventilation
Working knowledge and understanding of the WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
Exceptional organising, planning, and problem-solving skills
Well-developed strategic thinking, analytical and planning skills
Strong commitment to health, safety and environment standards
Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships 

Position Duties:

  • Manage the delivery of the Pre-Feasibility Study for Board approval
  • Manage the Environmental, Community and all necessary Studies to enable timely PFS completion and to ensure approval processes are progressed
  • Development of a Project Execution Plan for the Project
  • Liaise with the Site Operations and Mining Technical Services team and Processing and Metallurgical teams
