Our client, an emerging Australian strategic metals producer, is seeking an experienced Metallurgical Technician to join their team at their Western Australian operation.Requirements:
2+ years experience in a similar position, metallurgy graduates are encouraged to apply
Flotation test work experience will be highly regarded
Strong computer skills
Strong verbal and written skills
Flexible attitude and team oriented
Current Driver's License
Pass a medical and D&A
NPC less than six months old
This role reports to the Senior Metallurgist and is offered on a contract basis.
Position Duties:
- General duties, including lab flotation testwork, plant sampling, water sampling, calibration of plant pH probes, settling tests
- Prepare various reports and complete daily metallurgical accounting, concentrate inventory management and logistics report
- Produce, review and analyse laboratory test work, plant trends and discuss results with plant metallurgists
- Provide assistance to the Metallurgical team
Experience
Solid previous experience in a mineral processing laboratory or a metallurgical graduate
