MES is currently seeking an experienced Safety Advisor for a permanent role with an immediate start at our client's Western Australian based gold operation.
Reporting to the Occupational Health & Safety Manager, you will have a Broad Safety knowledge, including investigations, risk management, auditing, compliance and reporting. You will have a strong understanding of Workplace Health & Safety legislation and regulatory requirements for medical and security incidents on-site.
Criteria:

3–5 years demonstrated industry experience in a Safety Advisory role (in a surface mining environment on-call 24 hours)
Cert IV in Healthcare – Ambulance and tertiary qualified in Occupational Health & Safety Investigation,
Audit and Risk Facilitation experience Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office applications
Cert IV in Workplace Trainer and Assessor
HR & C class Drivers Licence
Collect Specimens for Drugs or Abuse Testing
Work Safely at Heights Entry & Work in a Confined Space
Gas Test Atmosphere
You must have full Australian working rights to be considered for this role
Theory and practical assessments Emergency Response background, experience or exposure highly regarded

Position Duties:

  • Assist with the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain and update files and databases relevant to this position (INX-InControl, Intuition & Inflight) Facilitate all site inductions
  • First response to all emergency, medical and security incidents on site
  • Drug & alcohol testing when required
