MES has an excellent opportunity for a Mine Surveyor to join our client's team. They operate an underground mine that has a long and successful history in Western Australia.
Job Requirements:
- Appropriate qualifications in Mine Surveying;
- A good understanding of the practical and technical aspects of underground surveying;
- Strong, clear communication skills;
- C-Class Driver's Licence;
- Proficient skills with Total Station, CAD Mining – preferably Deswik &/or Surpac, and GPS Trimble R10.
Position Duties:
- Maintaining survey records and databases;
- Planning daily surveying tasks;
- Ensuring the survey control network is maintained and progressed.
- Monitoring mining development to maintain alignment and highlight potential problems and safety hazards;
- Helping to maintain Mine Plans to meet Mines Department requirements;
- Maintaining surveying equipment and instruments; and
- Surface surveys as required.
Experience
12+ months working in mine surveying, ideally in an underground environment.
