Our client, a Western Australian Gold Producer, currently requires an experienced Pit Technician for their key open pit project.
You will be responsible for assisting the geological team to facilitate optimum production at their various open pits.
Requirements:
- Western Australian 'C' Class Drivers License
- National Police Clearance
- Be a highly motivated & reliable individual
- Good level of fitness and capable of working 12 hour shifts
- Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
Position Duties:
- Complete ore mark-ups;
- Ensure ore blocks mined are supervised and clear instructions are provided to operators;
- Effectively complete sampling tasks;
- Conduct data entry of sample data and complete lab submissions ensuring consignment notes are timely and accurate;
- Complete project work as directed by the Geology team.
Experience
6+ months experience in a similar role (preferably on gold mine sites)
