Our client, a Western Australian gold producer, requires a suitably experienced Pit Technician for their key open pit project.
This is a great opportunity to work for a gold production and exploration company with a proven management team with a successful track record of developing mid-sized gold operations.
Requirements:
- Valid Manual Drivers License;
- National Police Clearance;
- Sound knowledge of safe mining and earthmoving practices;
- Someone who enjoys working in a team culture;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Forklift ticket (desirable but not essential).
Position Duties:
- Ore mark ups & ore spottings;
- Supervision of ore excavation;
- Geological mapping;
- Blast hole sampling;
- Samples of stockpiles;
- Grade controls;
- Maintaining electronic records of all sample submissions and drilling completed;
- Ensuring samples meet the GC/QC sampling standards before removal of samples from the drill site.
Experience
Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar open pit role (preferably gold).
