MES is currently seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to work on a contract basis for our client, a Western Australian gold developer with a significant high-grade gold deposit.
Your main duty would be to assist the Underground Manager as required, support on a variety of tasks including technical work and statutory appointments as required.
Requirements:
- Tertiary level Mining Engineering degree;
- First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency;
- Western Australian 'C' Class Drivers Licence;
- Ability to work autonomously with well-developed time management skills;
- Project/infrastructure experience;
- Proficient using Deswik.
Position Duties:
- Assist with managing a large number of capital projects;
- Appointment as Alternate Underground Manager and hold ticket for 30-50% of time on site;
- Organising short-term/daily activities with onsite contractors;
- Development workplans (designs) and checking Survey and Mining Instructions;
- Ventilation surveys
- Assisting with validating sections of the onsite contractor claim (eg. dayworks, installed ground support etc).
