Our client, a successful Australian Gold producer, is looking for a UG Production Engineer to join their team at one of their Western Australian gold operations.
This role is an excellent opportunity to join a team with over a decade of consistent production and reserve growth, underpinned by continued exploration success and targeted acquisitions.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering;
- Current WA class C manual driver's license;
- Mine Rescue and first aid experience (desirable);
- Intermediate level Surpac / Deswik skills.
Position Duties:
- Provide technical advice, planning and methodology of all aspects of the underground mining operation;
- Contribute to monitoring of all mine activities including ventilation;
- Provide rolling development and production schedules and other relevant information as required;
- Assist in the development of mining strategies, priorities, programs, forecasts and budgets relating to mining requirements;
- Maintain accurate records and information systems for critical mining data including drill and blast, load and haul, and survey information;
- Regular underground inspections to determine compliance to plan and to identify any improvement opportunities.
Experience
At least 3 years underground mining operational experience in an underground hard rock environment;
