Our client, a successful Australian Lithium mining company, is seeking an Open Pit Production Engineer to join their team.

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer and responsible for producing mine designs, mine schedules, and production plans.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Mining Engineering or equivalent;
  • Western Australian 'C' Class Drivers License;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Experience using Mine Planning software (preferably, Vulcan/Surpac/Deswik and Alastri).

Position Duties:

  • Monitor and reconcile daily activities and production against the daily and weekly plans;
  • Development of daily production plans and the two-week mine plan;
  • Prepare open pit designs, including waste dumps, haul roads and stockpiles;
  • Liaise with contractors, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure alignment with the mine plan;
  • Provide highly accurate data entry, validation, and technical analysis.
