Our client, a successful WA gold miner, requires an Underground Production Engineer to work on their owner-operator underground mine in the goldfields.

Requirements: 

  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering;
  • Current WA Manual Driver's Licence;
  • Current National Police Clearance from within the last 12 months;
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, a 3D CAD software package;
  • Proven experience using Deswik or Surpac.

Position Duties:

  • Deliver practical drill and charge plans to operations to meet and exceed targets;
  • Participate in stope reconciliations for improvements in drill and blast methods;
  • Undertake project work for operations as required;
  • Ability to operate safely - maintaining and promoting safe production;
  • Conduct assessments of all hazards associated with operations;
  • Provide engineering support to operational staff as required;
  • To create stope shapes and stope notes. This includes liaising with Geology, Geotechnical, and operational departments for effective extraction.
Experience
Previous experience in a Drill and Blast role is favourable – preferably underground.
