Our Client, an ASX-listed-based metals producer, currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Mine Planning Engineer to join their team on their world-class underground mine.
The company has two long-life-producing assets in Australia with a pipeline of organic growth opportunities.
Requirements:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering;
- Current “C” Class Drivers Licence (manual);
- Able to work constructively and collaboratively with other technical disciplines;
- Proficient in MS Office software, mine design, and scheduling software such as Deswik (preferred), Datamine, Vulcan, or Surpac.
Position Duties:
- Produce cost-effective and practical designs for underground lateral, decline and vertical development;
- Produce production stope designs and documentation, including detailed stope economic analysis;
- Review and optimising medium and long-term planning designs;
- Assist in compiling and reviewing Planning and Scheduling Procedures;
- Contribute towards annual reserves and budget;
- Continual review of the current status of production areas and identifying upcoming operational and planning tasks/schedules;
- Conduct Underground inspections to review the practical implementation of design work;
- Liaise closely with other technical staff across the site as well as Operations and Contractor personnel.
Experience
7+ yrs. experience in a mining environment, preferably with one year of hands-on underground experience.
