NA15984 Dewatering Technician | Mining Employment Services

MES is seeking an experienced Dewatering Technician to work on a short-term contract for our client, a Western Australian gold developer with a significant high-grade gold deposit.

Your primary duty is to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of the camp and surface dewatering infrastructure.

Requirements:

Trade certified (electrician or plumber desirable);
Poly welding skills and appropriate accreditation (110 to 280mm poly pipe);
Certificated in the safe operation of small loaders/backhoes, excavators and forklifts;
Mechanical aptitude (preferably a tradesman) with submersible, borehole and sump pump exposure;
Experience with RO plants and WWTP plants (desirable);
Sound knowledge of electric and diesel pumps;
Dogging & Rigging expertise (desirable but not essential)
Strong commitment to safety.

Position Duties:

Responsible for the ongoing dewatering operations and maintenance of both surface and underground dewatering infrastructure;
Supervision of installation, management, and maintenance of dewatering systems, including all piping and pumping on site;
Management and maintenance of BGP camp and associated amenities;
Assist with electrical installation and maintenance (if qualified).
