MES is seeking an experienced Underground Mine Geologist to work for our client, a Western Australian gold developer with a significant high-grade gold deposit.

Requirements:
- Tertiary Qualification in Geology;
- Sound knowledge of mapping, structural geology, drilling, and sampling techniques;
- Ability to work autonomously with well-developed time management skills;
- Competent in technical writing, reporting, and communicating of technical data to site management;
- Proficient in using mining and geology-related software packages (e.g. Vulcan and acQuire).
Position Duties:
- Execute digital UG face/wall mapping program;
- Develop, implement and monitor various underground geology procedures, including but not limited to face mapping and sampling, wall mapping, ore drive directions, logging;
- Provide ore drive directions to optimize orebody position for stoping;
- Establish mine geology systems for production;
- Supervise and train junior Geologists for underground activities;
- Assist in UG and OP production tracking and ore delineation;
- Ensure the provision of quality logging, sampling and QAQC practices from resource definition and grade control drilling programs;
- Weekly and monthly reporting of UG geology-related activities;
- Assist Senior Geologist with wireframing and updating significant geological structures within the mine.
Experience
At least 1 years experience working in a similar role (preferably gold).
