MES is seeking a Senior Mine Geologist to lead a project on behalf of our client.
The client is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer with projects across Australia.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in geology or related discipline
- Highly developed communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment or independently
- Proficient with Surpac, Acquire, and other related software
- WA C Class Drivers Licence
- National Police Clearance.
Position Duties:
- Provide coaching to the team, including contributing to performance improvement, development opportunities and the ongoing development of all positions in the geology team.
- Lead the geology function on-site to be effective and efficient, working safely at all times to meet mine plans, budgets and targets.
- Contribute towards the positive inter-departmental relationships on-site, promoting information sharing and accuracy.
- Lead the end-of-month accounting and reporting of mining physicals and cost allocations.
- Support the mineral resource reconciliation process with support from the head office needed.
- Maintain and foster a working environment which prompts safety in all that we do, whilst also providing outstanding service.
Experience
Minimum 7+ years demonstrated experience in underground mining, with planning and design-related exposure.
