Our Client is seeking an enthusiastic Medical/Emergency Response professional to join the team at their 100% owned WA project. The company's operation and one of Australia's highest-grade nickel mines.

It is a challenging, performance-driven role, requiring the incumbent to carry out a broad range of duties.

Requirements: 

  • Cert IV Health Care (Medic) Qualification (as a minimum)
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment
  • Paramedic qualifications and experience (highly regarded) 
  • A strong background in underground mines rescue
  • Proficient computer skills & literacy using Microsoft Suite
  • Current WA MR Drivers Licence
  • Covid 19 vaccination x2 + willing to get a booster when eligible

 

Position Duties:

  • Provides and manages primary health and emergency medical services on site.
  • Coordinate emergency response activities, including fire-fighting, rope rescue, hazardous chemical response, closed-circuit breathing apparatus, first aid treatment, inspections, and audits.
  • Work as part of a team to maintain consistency in training standards for ERT members.
  • Develops, maintains and provides training programs (including the Site induction) for site personnel, with specific programs for mine rescue volunteers.
  • Promotes health and safety awareness to site personnel and seeks continuous improvement of WHS standards, systems and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain department SOP’s, training records and other administrative processes.
  • Maintains emergency response plant and equipment to a high standard.
  • Facilitates incident reporting, site audits and risk assessments.
Experience
Underground experience with a minimum of 3 years working in similar position.
