MES is seeking Exploration Geologists to join an innovative and leading mining company with a growing world-class portfolio of mining operations across multiple commodities, including iron ore and lithium. 

The successful candidate will be exposed to various commodities to gain diverse experience and skills.

  • C-Class Manual Licence

Position Duties:

  • Assist in the design and execution of exploration and resource development drill programs;
  • Collect, validate and manage geological data from field mapping and drill programs;
  • Ongoing interpretation of mineralisation model based on geological observations;
  • Drill rig supervision; geological logging; geological interpretation; ensure sampling quality is maintained;
  • Ensuring safety standards are maintained;
  • Ensure drilling is completed to appropriate standards and is cost-effective
  • Reporting on the progress of drill campaigns against physical budgets and technical goals;
  • Maintain regular and effective communication and feedback with peers, subordinates and superiors;
  • Maintain attention to detail in all aspects of the role;
  • Statutory and technical reporting as required;
  • Undertake work tasks as directed by the Senior Geologist and/or Principal Geologist;
Experience
3-5 years previous experience in the mining and exploration industry working around exploration drill rigs
