MES is seeking Exploration Geologists to join an innovative and leading mining company with a growing world-class portfolio of mining operations across multiple commodities, including iron ore and lithium.

- Tertiary-level relevant qualification
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
- C-Class Manual Licence
- Well-development communication skills - both oral and written
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Meet deadlines and manage priorities as required

Position Duties:
- Assist in the design and execution of exploration and resource development drill programs;
- Collect, validate and manage geological data from field mapping and drill programs;
- Ongoing interpretation of mineralisation model based on geological observations;
- Drill rig supervision; geological logging; geological interpretation; ensure sampling quality is maintained;
- Ensuring safety standards are maintained;
- Ensure drilling is completed to appropriate standards and is cost-effective
- Reporting on the progress of drill campaigns against physical budgets and technical goals;
- Maintain regular and effective communication and feedback with peers, subordinates and superiors;
- Maintain attention to detail in all aspects of the role;
- Statutory and technical reporting as required;
- Undertake work tasks as directed by the Senior Geologist and/or Principal Geologist;
Experience
3-5 years previous experience in the mining and exploration industry working around exploration drill rigs
