Our client, a gold explorer that focuses on discovering and developing large new gold deposits is currently seeking a Field Assistant for their project.
Requirements:
- Familiar with mineral exploration drilling (Aircore, RC and Diamond);
- 'C' Class Drivers Licence;
- National Police Clearance;
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug and Alcohol screen.
Position Duties:
- Assist with all aspects of drilling, sample collection and preparation i.e. line clearing, gridding and accurate marking out of drill holes by way of GPS;
- Ensure appropriate sampling technology is applied to the collection of all drilling samples;
- Provide support to the exploration geologists and senior field assistants;
- Provide assistance in the establishment of remote exploration camps as required.
Experience
6-12 months experience in a similar role (preferably gold)
