MES is currently seeking Underground Surveyors for one of our ASX listed gold explorers and producers. The company is one of the dominant producers in Western Australia with multiple processing plants.
The project is a premier low-cost sub-level cave gold mine with prolific production history. Since the rehabilitation and refurbishment of the site, ore has begun to flow and has built a steady-state output dominating the ore feed for the plant.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification - Degree or Advanced Diploma in Surveying
- Grade 1 Authorised Mine Surveyors Certificate (preferred but not essential)
- Competent using Lecia, Trimble, Optech CMS equipment
- Advanced experience using Surpac
- Strong computer literacy skills and excellent communication skills with all levels of operation
- Knowledge and understanding of Mines Regulations, OH&S and duty of care
Position Duties:
- Maintaining and adhering to all survey procedures
- Perform survey functions for the underground operation
- Develop and maintain the underground survey control network to the highest standard
- Update the underground mine model, mine plans and statutory plans
- Carry out end of month report in and accurate and timely manor
- Liaising with Mine Engineers to assist with mine designs
- Measuring total volume of material moved
Experience
12+ months post qualification experience and exposure to Underground Surveying
