MES is currently seeking Open-pit Mine Surveyors to join a mid-tier gold mining company.
The company is a high-margin gold producer and explorer with over a decade of consistent production and reserve growth, underpinned by continued exploration success and targeted acquisitions. The large, long-life gold mining operation consists of three open cut and underground mining centres.
Requirements:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Mine Surveying (Diploma or higher)
- Familiar with Trimble and DJI drones
- Remote piolet License (Multi-Rotor preferred)
- Agisoft and Global Mapper experience (not essential)
- Competent with Deswik or Surpac
- Demonstrate commitment to safety and teamwork
- Good communication skills
- WA C Class manual drivers license
- Must be domiciled and eligible to work in Australia (without requiring sponsorship) to be considered
- Interstate candidates must identify their availability to relocate to undertake this role until restrictions are lifted.

- Maintain survey control
- Toe crest markup
- Batter checks
- Ramp setout
- Blast boundary setout
- TBM’s
- Grade control setout
- Ore markup
- Exploration drill setout
- Miscellaneous project work
- Installing new prisms for highwall and berm monitoring where required
- Weekly monitoring and movement analysis of prism observations using Trimble 4D
- Post blast volume calculations
- Pit pickup (RTK GPS or Aerial Flyover Data)
- End of Month stockpile surveys and report
Experience
1 year experience as an open pit mine surveyor (Ideally gold)
