MES is currently seeking an Open Pit Mine Geologist for our Lithium client. Our client is one of the world's most extensive hard-rock lithium operations. The significant scale and quality of the operation have attracted high-quality global partners. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geological/Geosciences
  • Competent in the use of Surpac and modelling software 
  • RC grade control design and supervision experience 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Experienced in stockpile management
  • Previous experience in pegmatite-hosted deposits
  • Experience with a production management system

Position Duties:

  • Assist in the design, implementation scheduling and supervision of RC grade control drilling program
  • Modelling sample data results
  • Develop ore and waste mark-outs
  • Provide all plans, instructions and reports to relevant stakeholders
  • Interpret and process grade control data
  • Ensure material is delivered on grade
  • Update geological mapping
  • Contribute to end of month processing and reconciliation
  • Assist with exploration activities, including drill core processing and sampling
  • Provide supervision and technical guidance to Junior Geologist and Pit technicians
Experience
Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in open pit hard rock mining in a similar position
