MES is currently seeking Exploration Geologists to join an innovative and leading mining company with a growing world-class portfolio of mining operations across multiple commodities, including iron ore and lithium.
Reporting to the Principal Geologist rotating between the Iron Ore and Lithium project to gain diverse experience and skills.
Requirements:
- Tertiary level education in Geologist
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
- C-Class Manual Licence
- Well-development communication skills - both oral and written
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Meet deadlines and manage priorities to meet deadlines
- Report writing skills
- Attention to detail
- Skilled use of AcQuire, Micromine and Arc GIS Software
Position Duties:
- Maintain attention to detail in all aspects of the role;
- Statutory and technical reporting as required;
- Reporting on the progress of drill campaigns against physical budgets and technical goals;
- Ensure drilling is completed to appropriate standards and is cost effective
- Drill rig supervision; geological logging; geological interpretation; ensure sampling quality is maintained;
- Input all field data into the AcQuire database;
- Collect, validate and manage geological data from field mapping and drill programs;
