Our client is a rapidly growing, West African gold producer with two operating gold mines and a third gold mine currently in development. They require an experienced Senior Exploration Geologist to run their exploration programs in West Africa.
Reporting through to the Exploration Manager you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of local geologists and various technical support staff. This role is offered on a 6 weeks on 3 weeks off roster FIFO ex anywhere in the world to West Africa. The successful candidate must speak fluent English and have reasonable French-speaking skills.
Position Duties:
- Ability to work in deeply weathered regolith terranes
- Soil and auger geochem sampling and interpretation as well as ground and airborne geophysical data aquisition and interpretation
- AC, RAB, RC and diamond drilling
- MapInfo/Discover, Leapfrog, acQuire database experience required. Micromine advantageous however not essential
