MES is currently seeking an Open Pit Mine Surveyor to join a global leader in the garnet abrasives industry at their Western Australian-based operation.
This is a Residential for Geraldton / surrounding areas to work out of our client's mid-west operations near Port Gregory or FIFO Perth position. Relocation assistance available.
Requirements:
- Tertiary Qualification – Degree or Advanced Diploma in Surveying
- Current holder or willing to obtain Grade 1 or 2 Mine Surveyors Certificate (WA)
- Strong Computer literacy skills with exposure to Surpac desirable.
- Ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships at all levels of operation.
- Experience operating drone survey equipment will be viewed favourably.
Position Duties:
- Develop and oversee infill drilling programs and exploration drilling Mine Closure Plan update and management;
- Carrying out survey control in an accurate manner;
- Provide Production and development mark-ups;
- Accurate and timely output of mining layouts;
- Periodic surface pickups of stockpiles and other mining areas;
- Update mine models, mining plans and statutory plans as required;
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with mining lease conditions.
