Our client, an Australian based gold producer is seeking a Senior Mine Surveyor to join their gold project which sits in a major gold producing district.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in surveying;
- Authorised mine surveyor’s certificate (grade 2);
- Operation of sub 25kg UAVs;
- RePL/ARoC to operate UAVs commercially;
- Competent using Surpac, Trimble Business Center and Quickslope;
- Experienced with photogrammetry software for processing UAV data, Metashape/Pix4;
- Proficient using Trimble GPS, Trimble Total Stations and DJI RPAS.
Position Duties:
- Maintaining survey control networks;
- Measuring total volume of material moved. Pit, stockpile, landform surveys and volume reporting;
- Setting out areas to be mined and drilled; Ore mark up and delineation;
- Measuring quantities of material blasted. Blast pick-ups and reporting;
- Maintaining up to date site plans and services information;
- Locating blast and exploration drill holes; set out and pick up of exploration drill holes;
- Defining lease boundaries, access roads and watercourses;
- Slope stability monitoring and reporting of pit wall movements;
- Ensuring engineered designs are constructed to design parameters;
- Accurately record all production, survey records and information in electronic or paper format ensuring quality and integrity is maintained.
Experience
5+ Years survey experience within open cut mining operations;
