Our client, an Australian ASX 100 gold producer with four Tier-1 world-class projects, is currently looking for an experienced Gold Metallurgist to come onboard.
Requirements;
- Tertiary degree qualification in Chemical Engineering, Extractive Metallurgy, or a related discipline;
- Exposure in gold processing plant with flotation circuits;
- Understand and utilise process control applications to improve process metallurgy;
- Prior experience with PI Historian and statistical analysis;
- Ability to understand and develop plant Piping & Instrumentation Drawings;
- Full Australian Working Rights
Position Duties:
- Provide metallurgical and processing operations advice;
- Conduct plant investigations and improvement projects to improve recovery, increase throughput and reduce cost as required;
- Crushing-grinding circuit, flotation circuit, gravity circuit, Ultra Fine Grinding (UFG), CIL circuit and elution;
- Maintaining the metallurgical accounting system, and generate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly balances as required;
- Monitor plant performance by analysing operational/assay data and set up systems to provide performance trends;
- Assist in developing the budget physicals and cost targets for the annual budget;
- Assists the Senior Metallurgist and Metallurgical Superintendent to design and complete metallurgical test work as required.
