Our client, a mineral sands miner and the only titanium dioxide pigment producer in Australia is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join their team in one of Perth's southern suburbs.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a shutdown or turnaround planning (desirable);
  • Experience in using SAP and MS projects;
  • Mechanical Trade Certificate or equivalent  (desired);
  • Mining, mineral sands, dredging experience (desired);
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry standards;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Position Duties:

  • Proactively plan and estimate maintenance activities, ensuring that agreed resources, equipment maintenance KPI's and production targets are met;
  • Develop and manage a consistent process for planning of all tasks including sourcing and procurement of materials, equipment and labour resources;
  • Prioritise and manage the backlog of work requests to ensure only critical shutdown work is being planned;
  • Evaluate and challenge the scheduling to optimise planned work efficiencies;
  • Coordinate and manage meetings to optimise the shutdown plans and risks of all activities in the work list;
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams, operations, engineering, and procurement to gather necessary information and ensure alignment with project goals;
  • Generate reports for management to track project status, resource utilization, and budget adherence;
  • Monitor progress of shutdown activities on a daily and weekly basis and keep stakeholders updated;
  • Participate in risk evaluation and safe operation assessments;
  • Contractor management and reviewing documentation;
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Environmental, OSH and Registered Equipment legislation.
