Our Client is a base metal exploration and development company who has recently shipped their first parcel of concentrate to China. They are currently seeking a Mine Surveyor to join the innovative Technical Services team for their underground operation.
Requirements
Qualifications in surveying - Relevant tertiary qualification or advanced diploma
Previous underground hard rock mining experience desirable but not essential
Mining software experience - Surpac is desirable but not essential
Authorised Grade #1 desirable but not essential
The ability to encourage, support and motivate team members
A positive and collaborative attitude towards building relationships with various departments whilst providing technical expertise with an unwavering "can do" attitude
The ability to think laterally and work through obstacles with sound communication, both written and verbal
Be physically fit and must be able to pass a pre-employment medical, full functional assessment and a drug & alcohol screen
Position Duties:
- Perform surveys to maintain mine models
- All survey control required to achieve short to medium term production and development targets
- Ensure marks up for development & production drilling
- Maintain and improve mine models
