Our client, a well-regarded ASX-listed gold producer, is seeking an experienced Mine Production Superintendent to join their team in Western Australia’s north-eastern Goldfields region.
Requirements:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications - Mining Engineering;
- Unrestricted WA Quarry Manager’s Certificate;
- Familiarity with Australian mining regulations;
- Previous leadership experience in open pit mining;
- Exposure to contract mining environments and various commodities.
Position Duties:
- Manage the daily, weekly, and monthly activities to ensure that plans are effective, compliance is achieved, and costs are minimised;
- Overview of mining contract performance, assessing monthly claims for queries and issues;
- Ensure weekly/monthly ore and waste delivery targets are achieved;
- Conduct, lead and participate in safety investigations, risk assessments, inspections, reviews, and audits;
- Contribute and maintain the production planning process;
- Create monthly accrual for primary contractor aligned with daily review of dayworks claims and mining activities;
- Engage team for technical and operational knowledge to overcome challenges and optimise the process.
