Our client, a well established integrated mining operation based in the Northern Territory specializing in the production of iron ore and a variety of other commodities is seeking a Senior Open Pit Mine Surveyor to join their team.
Job Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in mine surveying;
- Competent using Deswik, Surpac, Vulcan, Global Mapper, GeoMos monitoring and Trimble (highly regarded);
- Grade Authorization (highly regarded).
Position Duties:
- Carry out surveys to determine mine structures and layouts, ensuring their precise position above and below the ground;
- Setting out and marking up production drill plans ahead of the drill schedule;
- Carry out end of month processes for development and stockpile reconciliation;
- Performing regular drone flights picking up active mining areas and tailings monitoring;
- Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment, ensuring measurements are accurate and reliable;
- Operate drones for aerial surveys, where necessary, and interpret aerial data;
- Stay updated with the latest in surveying technology and methodologies to enhance the survey process and bring efficiency to the operations;
- Undertake all other related duties appropriate to the position, as directed by the position’s Reporting Manager.
