MES is seeking a Senior Underground Mine Geologist to join one of our Gold Clients in the Eastern Goldfields.   • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Geology;
  • Exposure to underground gold mines;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment;
  • Previous mentoring or supervisory experience within a small team;
  • A great attitude and approach to problem solving;

Position Duties:

  • Supervising and analyze geological data collection, including core logging, sampling and mapping, to support resource estimation, mine planning, identifying potential risks and opportunities for optimized extraction;
  • Providing geological input and support to mine development and production activities, including stope design, blasting plans, and ore grade control;
  • Mentoring and training junior geologists and technical staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in underground geological mapping and interpretation;
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of geological modeling techniques and software tools;
  • Address and resolve initial operational challenges and obstacles;
