Our client, a multi-asset mineral resource company focused primarily on acquiring, exploring, evaluating, and developing precious metal assets, is seeking a Open Pit Project Geologist to join their team.
Requirements:
- BSc Geology;
- Demonstrated exposure in an Open Pit Project position;
- Narrow Vein Gold experience.
Position Duties:
- Conduct Open Pit grade control and resource wireframe interpretation, block model estimation and depletion
- Conduct end of month mine to mill reconciliation and investigation of variances, inclusive of grade, volumes and tonnage, and monthly stockpile reconciliation
- Provide geological insight and liaison during production and planning stages, reviewing and observation of collected data from the field and revision of mine plan, surfaces, and modelling for Open Pit;
- Ensure the accurate collection of production and reconciliation data, undertake regular data audits, and promote cross-discipline understanding of optimal mine to mill geological practices;
- Effective communication with relevant stakeholders at all stages to optimise efficiencies with Exploration, Mine Geology and Mine Planning with regards to grade control modelling, planning evaluation, and production scheduling;
