Our client, an Australian gold producer is currently seeking an Senior Open Pit Mine Geologist to join their team. The project includes a small high-grade mine producing over 200,000 ounces of gold since 2016.
Requirements:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Geology;
- Experience with Datamine;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment;
- Previous mentoring or supervisory experience within a small team;
- A great attitude and approach to problem solving;
Position Duties:
- Coordinate all geological activities for the mining operation and in particular grade control;
- Supervision and Management of grade control drilling programs;
- Oversee high quality technical reporting in the compilation of daily grade reports, weekly and monthly production reports;
- Provide technical and management support for the site management team;
- Liaise with Mine Production personnel and drilling contractor to coordinate drilling activities in the open pit environment.
