On behalf of our client, MES is recruiting a high calibre Mining Manager to join our client's overseas operation.
This is an opportunity for an experienced manager to join a world class operation and provide the vision, leadership and management of the mining operation to deliver the required safety, mine production and cost performance outcomes.
Degree qualification in mining engineering
Outstanding leadership ability and proven capacity to deliver safe and high performance outcomes
Extensive experience in open cut, metalliferous mining operations with an owner miner fleet
A proven safety performer leading a large department, strong risk based management skills and knowledge
Recent experience as a Mining Manager or considerable experience at Superintendent level ready to step up
Exposure to technically challenging operations – e.g. heavy rainfall, variable ore bodies, geotechnical ground conditions
Previous expatriate experience with demonstrated success in developing a national workforce preferred
Superior communication and interpersonal skills
Strong continuous improvement and strategic focus
High levels of energy, commitment and tenacity
This is a residential position with a salary package reflecting the seniority of the role with relocation, housing allowance, dependent education, return flights home all supported.
Position Duties:
- Mine Production; (pit, waste dump, TSF, mine road network)
- Owner and Contractor mining fleet operations management
- Deliver business safety, production and cost targets
