MES is seeking an experienced Long Hole Driller on behalf of our client to join the team at their owner-operator WA gold project.
Job Requirements:
- Australian Manual Drivers Licence;
- National Police Clearance (issued within 12 months);
- Excellent operating skills & ability to work well in a team environment;
- Able to pass pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol screen;
- Solid underground background;
- Strong emphasis on safe work practices;
- Hold valid working rights within Australia.
Position Duties:
- Accurately drill a series of long holes to a design pattern using a mechanised drill;
- Read and accurately follow mine instruction plans with skill and precision, ensuring holes are drilled to design line, gradient and profile;
- Set up and troubleshoot Longhole Drill rigs, specifically the Sandvik rigs.
Experience
At least 1 year operating the long hole drill rigs, ideally the Sandvik DL421 & DL430 rigs
